Take Care Of Your Precious Espresso Machine

by admin on September 10, 2012

It seems that we just can’t get enough of fresh coffee these days. Whether it’s our favourite latte or mocha at the neighbourhood cafe or a takeaway cup while on the go, sales of premium coffee continue to defy the economic downturn. And further evidence of this can be seen from the sheer number of us who are investing in top-quality espresso machines for the home so we can indulge our passion for coffee in the comfort of our homes.

Some of these machines, such as Nespresso devices or pod system machines are relatively easy to use and, just as importantly, to maintain. However, the more traditional machines or been-to-cup devices can be a little more difficult to keep clean and in perfect working order. If you have one of these at home and find it tricky to keep clean, here’s how to make sure its clean and fresh every time you come to use it.

First, clean it as normal, then take a small paintbrush or soft toothbrush and use this to get into any nooks and crannies where coffee grounds can become attached.

Once you have loosened any such debris away, take the nozzle or soft brush attachment on your vacuum and remove any lingering dregs. Not only will this keep your machine fresh and give you a better cup of java, but it will also help it to last longer too.
