Enter The Blogosphere For Home Decor Ideas

by admin on June 27, 2012

Let’s face it,  everyone wants their homes to look good. It’s only human nature, after all. The problem is that if you haven’t decorated a home before or perhaps don’t have that artistic or creative knack, you may find it difficult to get your home looking the way that you want it, without getting some help or advice.

Traditionally, this would have meant calling on the services of your local interior designer. This is still a good way to go. A good, experienced designer will take the time to talk to you about the things you like and prepare a design theme on the basis of this information. There is just one small problem – interior design services can be expensive and if you are trying to get some inspiration on a budget, they may not be appropriate for everyone.

Well, in that event, why not look to the internet for help and guidance?  We hope that as you delve into our site you will find it filled with lots of little tips and suggestions that can add an air of glamour and elegance to your home. In fact, the growth of interior design blogs in general means that there is no shortgage of inspiration for even the most inexperienced amateur decorator.

We hesitate to make any grand claims about our own humble blog as it is only a few short weeks old, but it’s fair to say that interior blogs in general with their mix of insider tips and fascinating insights are actually making the professional designer sit up and take note, upping their game along the way and in turn hopefully ensuring that propective clients will receive an even better service in future.

So, if you’re looking for some inspiration – and in the highly unlikely event you cannot find it here(!) – then the following are among the best of the new breed of interior design blogs out there. Between them you should find whatever you are looking for:

Apartmenttherapy.com – this is one of the doyens of interior design blogs which goes by the sub heading “saving the world, one room at a time”

Brightbazaar.blogspot.co.uk – a friendly, helpful blog full of vibrant colours and useful, practical advice.

Designhunter.co.uk – this is a classy blog specialising in cool refined design mixed with just a hint of vintage.

One of the great things about an interior design blog is that, by it’s very nature, the relationship between bloggers and their readership tends to invoke more trust and loyalty than you will find with other websites and/or periodicals. When you are dealing with someone’s hopes and aspirations for their home, that can be a very important consideration.
